The department of Electrical Engineering (also known as ESAT) conducts research at a high international level. It is also responsible for education in the domains of electrical engineering, electronics, and information processing. The MICAS (Microelectronics and Sensors) division within ESAT provides research and education in the field of analog, digital and mixed-signal integrated circuit and sensor design at the highest possible scientific level and with worldwide international recognition.
